About Us

our mission of consent

and then there’s only LOVE

and then there's only LOVE has been a place of fire, fun, and passion on the playa since 2003. We are known for our air conditioned Orgy Dome® where all couples and moresomes can escape the dust and heat of Black Rock City.

We pride ourselves in creating a sex-positive, consensual space for couples and moresomes to play during their stay at Black Rock City. The Orgy Dome is a safe, inclusionary, and exploratory environment. All couples and moresomes who are adults are welcome in the Dome - straight, lesbian, gay, bi, polyamorous and monogamous. We welcome the combination of love in all forms.

Consent

Everyone who wishes to enter the Orgy Dome is given a detailed talk about consent. And we also explain the importance of consent to all who don't use the Dome but stop by, just to ask questions. That means we give about 10,000 instructional consent talks every year. We are proud of the quality space and education we provide. But it also means we could use your help. Contact us if you want to contribute by volunteering.

Our Committees

  • This team manages our campmates’ experience; from when they apply and interview, to the communications they see on Facebook and via email that set the expectations about what camping with us is like, to helping them get tickets and Early Access passes, to invoicing for dues and monitoring payment, to mediating or dealing with camp member disputes or disciplinary actions, to volunteer signup and scheduling, to fluffing campmates on playa and helping them from burning out or getting sick. Behind the scenes they collect and manage our databases of campmate info that helps us keep an up to date contact list, build our map, our shift schedule, and our DGS and regular ticketing redistribution plans.

  • This team will manage the overview of our guests experience from when they read about us in the What Where When, to the information and art they see on the outside of the dome, to when the park their bikes and wait in line, to the content they receive during their greeting, to the aesthetics, setting, interactivity, and cleanliness of the garden and dome. They will also manage the workshop program.

  • This team will manage our online presence though our two websites and by monitoring external media reports and correcting the record when necessary to ensure that our public perception aligns with our mission. They will also decide when and how to engage with direct media requests. For fundraising they will research and execute options for growing our endowment including sourcing it from our campmates, crowdfunding amongst the burner community, hosting fundraiser parties, looking into potential grant awards, and pursuing potential large donors who align with our mission.

  • This team will ensure that we have working utilities at the burn and that we’re working with service providers who will deliver on their contracts. They will also keep track of our storage and transportation needs and ensure that our trailers are road-worthy and that everything makes it on and off of the playa. They will ensure that our infrastructure can withstand the rugged conditions of the playa and they will plan ahead for expansion in our storage needs as well as purchasing of critical infrastructure that has been broken or that we need to expand.
